Gaussian Scale Mixtures - A neighborhood of wavelet coefficient are modeled as a continuous infinite mixture of zero-mean Gaussians with the same normalized covariance matrix but with different scale factors. This method leads to the best denoising results found in the literature
Bivariate shrinkage - Similar to the PoEdges model using a generalized Laplace distribution to model the statistical dependencies between a wavelet coefficient and its parent. This leads to a very simple shrinkage algorithm with astonishingly good results.
matlabPyrTools - Matlab toolbox for wavelet pyramids
